BIRCHWOOD Park-based Jacobs has joined the Northern Nuclear Alliance, demonstrating its commitment to the region’s nuclear industry.
As a Partner Member with a seat on the Northern Nuclear Alliance (NNA) Steering Group, Jacobs brings its experience of supporting hundreds of nuclear programs worldwide and more than 60 years of experience dating back to the inception of the industry.
The NNA, based in Birchwood, Warrington, is the fastest-growing membership organisation in the nuclear sector. Its newly launched strategy is built on four pillars: New Business, Social Value, SME Development and Clean Growth and Innovation.
Jacobs Energy, Vice President Technology and Cyber Solutions, Greg Willetts said; “We are looking forward to harnessing the potential of our NNA partnership. Together we can maximise the impact of our social value actions, working collaboratively to increase the benefits for our communities. The NNA is also championing nuclear for a net-zero future, looking at how nuclear can be part of a reliable, sustainable energy mix, working with other sectors such as hydrogen.”
Loren Jones, NNA Chair, said: “Having Jacobs as a partner member adds significant strength to the power of the collective voice which we use to communicate in the UK and internationally for our members. We are delighted to have their support and will continue to deliver against our three-year strategy for the benefit of the region and our sector.”
