A Warrington-headquartered specialist in the development of consumer technology products has expanded into the US market by investing in a Texas counterpart.
Tactus Group has backed coding and robotics firm Pi-top, which specialises in improving digital skills in education.
Founded in 2014, its goal is to increase access to coding and technical skills through its learning software platform and Raspberry Pi-based hardware.
Operating out of the UK, US and China, the company has already almost doubled its paying accounts in the first half of 2021.
The investment is designed to strengthen Tactus Group's capabilities in coding and robotics, as well as bolster its offering in the education sector following success on projects with the UK's Department for Education.
