Betfred owner Fred Done has bought the 30,000 sq ft Arpley House in Warrington for £2.25m and plans to spend another £1.5m refurbishing the building.

Done, who also owns Salford–based developer Salboy, has acquired the Birchwood Park property from Homes England through special purpose vehicle Frankel Brow.

The three-storey Arpley House at 110 Birchwood Boulevard has been vacant for around 18 months.

The refurbishment will see the building split into units from 4,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft and is due to complete before the end of the year.

Done’s latest Birchwood purchase takes the bookmaker’s holdings at the business park to 150,000 sq ft across 12 properties, including Millennium Business Park, a 20,000 sq ft three-building cluster bought in 2016.
