Amazon has confirmed it will open a second operating site in Warrington this autumn.

The online retail giant already has a warehouse, or fulfilment centre as it brands itself, in Great Sankey.

But Amazon Logistics has now announced that it will open a new ‘delivery station’ as part of the Omega II Mountpark development off the M62.

The 18,800-square metre building is expected to be fully operational this autumn and will serve customers based in the Warrington area, according to Amazon.
