Alderley’s contracting arm Complete Construction has begun an 18-month project to deliver 39 apartments in the town centre.

Alderley Group is delivering the six-storey Warrington project for housing association Torus.

Plans to redevelop the former Lloyds Bank on Town Hill were designed by JM Architects and approved in 2018. That application was submitted by developer Emerald Bay, which is no longer involved in the project.

Alderley is working with architect Keith Davidson Partnership as the scheme progresses.

Alderley completed the acquisition of the site in November and will hand over the scheme to Torus on completion.

Under the plans for the development, the former bank building is to be demolished. A total of 39 apartments will be delivered, 25 with one bedroom apartments and 14 two-bedroom flats.

There is potential for a second phase to be developed in the future, according to planning documents. This would be located on the corner of Town Hill and Scotland Road and could reach 20 storeys.
