Omega making headlines
Did you know that Omega is the largest mixed-use development site in the North West?
Situated between Liverpool and Manchester just off the M62, Omega even has a dedicated motorway junction - J8. This unrivalled location has already attracted substantial national and international operators to Omega, which continues to grow.
Omega North
Omega North on the Manchester-bound side of the M62 was the first phase of the 575 acre development. It’s now home to some instantly recognisable brands such as Hermes, Travis Perkins and Brake Bros, as well as a state-of-the-art service centre for Scania dealer Haydock Commercial Vehicles.
Omega South
Omega South occupiers include Amazon, Asda and The Hut Group, and manufacturers Domino's Pizza, which supplies their northern outlets from Omega, and Plastic Omnium, a French automotive body parts specialist providing Jaguar Land Rover.
An increase in demand for low carbon and diesel alternatives for HGVs has also seen Europe’s biggest bio-refuelling station open on Omega South, capable of refuelling 800 HGV’s daily.
Mountpark Omega is a new development on Omega South with phase 1 fully occupied by recent arrivals Royal Mail, The Delivery Group and Jungheinrich, and recipe-box company Gousto taking the first letting on phase 2.
New homes
There are currently proposals for 1,400 new homes and opportunities for convenience retail and leisure facilities at Omega South. The development will include a 35 acre Green Heart at its core, with a vibrant network of landscaped woodland, parkland and wildlife areas.
Securing jobs
To date, Omega has attracted almost £1bn of investment, which has funded site infrastructure, buildings and fit-outs, and the creation of c. 10,000 jobs.
