Data Analytics
Besides bluechip companies, we're also home to a plethora of locally-based software data analytics companies, who serve a diverse base. Companies such as French-owned Tessella (part of Altran Group) outsource services in data analytics, informatics and scientific software engineering.
Simulation and modelling
Warrington equally excels in simulation and modelling. The computer software division of global defence company Dassault has its Simulia Solutions division here. They serve various industries, including nuclear energy, including fracture and failure modelling among their numerous specialisms.
Enterprise software
Heading up Warrington's impressive enterprise software are global companies Epicor Software, Technidata Medical Software and Zenith Technologies. Epicor, a US-owned software company, develop primarily for aerospace, life sciences and automotive. Technidata Medical centre on patient safety software systems for clinical laboratories and biorepositories, while Zenith develops software systems for pharma and biotech.
Back-office solutions
As well as a significant number of international software companies, Warrington also has a strong base of home-grown ones. In particular, MDS employ over 250 people, develop back-office software solutions, including billing, CRM and analytics systems for the telecoms industry. Datel, an accounting and ERP software company and the UK's largest Sage Partner, also headquartered in Warrington.
Full fibre digital infrastructure
Warrington is also set to join the most significant independent investment in the UK's digital infrastructure in recent times. Joining 216 other towns and villages up and down the country, Warrington will benefit from a full nationwide fibre rollout over the next four years.
