Here in Warrington, we've got something of a track record at attracting international software development companies.
Warrington has a growing reputation in cybersecurity, and with Hewlett Packard basing its Managed Security Service Engineering Division, Warrington is making a name for itself. Joining Hewlett Packard is DXC Technology, a US digital services and analytics company with a Security Operations Centre in Birchwood Park.
Besides bluechip companies, we're also home to a plethora of locally-based software data analytics companies, who serve a diverse base. Companies such as French-owned Tessella (part of Altran Group) outsource services in data analytics, informatics and scientific software engineering.
Simulation and modelling
Warrington equally excels in simulation and modelling. The computer software division of global defence company Dassault has its Simulia Solutions division here. They serve various industries, including nuclear energy, including fracture and failure modelling among their numerous specialisms.
Heading up Warrington's impressive enterprise software are global companies Epicor Software, Technidata Medical Software and Zenith Technologies. Epicor, a US-owned software company, develop primarily for aerospace, life sciences and automotive. Technidata Medical centre on patient safety software systems for clinical laboratories and biorepositories, while Zenith develops software systems for pharma and biotech.
As well as a significant number of international software companies, Warrington also has a strong base of home-grown ones. In particular, MDS employ over 250 people, develop back-office software solutions, including billing, CRM and analytics systems for the telecoms industry. Datel, an accounting and ERP software company and the UK's largest Sage Partner, also headquartered in Warrington.
