Working with housing group Torus, Lane End has started work on a block of 144 apartments on the site of a former Kwik Save in Warrington, near the £142m development at Time Square.
The scheme in Warrington town centre, is on the corner of Buttermarket Street and Academy Street, a site formerly home to a Kwik Save which was then converted into an indoor skating rink.
The site, now vacant, will house a mixed block of five, seven, and nine storeys which secured planning approval in June last year. There are also proposals for around 6,600 sq ft of retail at ground floor level, and apartments will be split between 110 two-beds, and 34 one-beds. PRP is the architect.
Lane End has now completed the purchase of the site to allow works to begin.
