COVID 19 BUSINESS SUPPORT – INFORMATION FOR BUSINESS
Information Updated 15 January 2021
Warrington Borough Council has been allocated £14.7 million to support local companies during the latest lockdown. For those businesses who successfully applied for the Local Restrictions Support or Additional Restrictions Grants in November, you do not need to do anything. A payment will be made into your bank account using the information you provided.
If you did not apply in November and feel you may be eligible for support, please visit the Council’s website for instructions on how to proceed https://www.warrington.gov.uk/business-support-coronavirus-update. In order to be eligible, you must currently be prohibited from opening by the national government restrictions. Alternatively, you may be suffering a significant loss in revenue because your main customers are prevented from trading.
Should the national lock down continue into subsequent months, this process is expected to be repeated as required. You can also contact us for information on additional sources of business support.
Further government support currently includes the new Coronavirus Job Support Schemes and Self Employment Income Support Scheme (at increased rates). Bounce Back Loans and the Business Interruption Loan Schemes are also still available. Information on these and any additional support from central government will appear on the website here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus/business-support
The Cheshire & Warrington Business Growth Hub continues to provide support for local business whether for advice and assistance during the pandemic, or general business start-up and growth schemes. There are currently two local grants available to support businesses affected by Covid 19 restrictions: the Restructure Grant and the Recovery Consultancy Grant. More details on the website: http://candwgrowthhub.co.uk, however these are subject to application windows.
Warrington & Co continue to work with the Council and partners to promote and introduce Covid 19 compliant safety measures across the borough. This will establish much needed confidence in our town and businesses whether visiting shops, making quality products or delivering world class services. https://www.warrington.gov.uk/coronavirus-covid-19-warrington
