Packaging company IFCO has agreed to take 85,000 sq ft at Kingsland Grange in Warrington, plugging a gap left by Amazon which left the site to move to Omega.
Owned by Property Alliance Group, the warehouse will be IFCO’s first site in the North West, and will be used for the cleaning and storing of reusable plastic containers for the retail sector. The company has signed a 10-year lease on the space.
PAG is now carrying out a refurbishment of the building ahead of IFCO moving into the building next month, and Frank Taylor of PAG said there was the potential for the unit to be expanded in the future.
Savills and B8 were the agents for the unit, while Cushman & Wakefield acted for IFCO.
Amazon first signed a 12-month lease on the property in October 2014, but has relocated the bulk of its operations to a purpose-built fulfilment centre at Omega.
