The Government housing agency has appointed Barratt Homes Manchester and David Wilson Homes North West to develop 370 homes on land at Appleton Cross, 30% of them to be classed as affordable.
Between them the housing brands, both part of the Barratt Developments group. will deliver a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom properties at the south Warrington site. Either shared ownership or affordable rental deals will be available at 111 homes.
Homes to be be built out on land disposed of by Homes England in south Warrington in the last year now add up to 700 dwellings.
