Highways England has taken the three-storey, 20,600 sq ft Atlantic House in Warrington with plans in place to develop a 240-strong team in the building by April next year.

The building at Birchwood Park has recently undergone a fit-out by landlord CEG and interior designer Spaceinvader, and Highways England will now look to hire additional staff after taking a 10-year lease.

Avison Young acted for CEG, while Savills acted for Highways England.

CEG purchased Atlantic House, which had been empty for around 18 months, as part of a two-office purchase in Warrington from Aviva Investors in November 2016. It also purchased the nearby Appleton House, which includes nearly 30,700 sq ft of offices.
