THE iconic ‘Pink Eye’ building has been put up for sale.
Fairclough Mill in Sankey Bridges, more commonly known as the Pink Eye building, could fetch around £300,000 after being put on the market.
Artist Tony Turk painted a mural of a pink eye on the side of the 110ft high former flour mill in 1999.
The Pink Eye, on Athertons Quay, yields rent of more than £30,000 per year with its six workshops on the ground floor, two large advertisement hoardings and a telecommunications mast on the roof.
Estate agents Ashtons describe the property as ‘offering a tremendous opportunity’.
