Warrington-based Tachodisc entered administration on 29 April 2016, with Antony Nygate and Kerry Bailey of BDO appointed joint administrators.
The business and certain assets of Tachodisc have now been acquired by newly incorporated company TDUK, a wholly owned subsidiary of the FTA, with immediate effect. The FTA’s director of operations June Powell will oversee the business.
Tachodisc supplies a range of transport products and services including tachograph charts, which track data such as the speed and distance covered by hauliers. Following the deal, the business will trade under the new name TDUK Ltd.
