Registrations have opened for the first Cheshire and Warrington Economic Summit, with EY Chief Economist Mark Gregory announced as keynote speaker.
Organised and hosted by Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership, Mark will be joined by an exciting line up of national and international speakers, discussing and debating the economy as we move towards our departure from the EU.
It is the first time that Mark has spoken at an event in Cheshire and Warrington. A leading voice on the UK economy and a business economist with over 25 years’ experience, Mark has experience in more than 40 countries as an advisor to the Governments and industry on economics, policy and regulation.
The Cheshire and Warrington Economic Summit will welcome around 300 of the region’s business leaders for the event on 17th October 2019 at Alderley Park Conference Centre, Macclesfield.
Christine Gaskell CBE DL, Chair of Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mark as our keynote speaker at this, our first, Economic Summit. Our economy is thriving, but there lies ahead a period of readjustment as the UK prepares to depart the EU and we want to ensure that our businesses continue to grow.
We are also excited to hear from other national and international speakers for an afternoon full of lively discussion and debate as we explore what role Place and Identity play as we build our economic strengths in manufacturing, life sciences and clean energy.”
More speakers will be announced shortly.
The event is free to attend but places are strictly limited. Businesses are encouraged to register early at https://economicsummit.eventbrite.co.uk
