Greenalls gin owner toasts rising sales

Turnover has climbed past £80m at the spirits producer behind brands such as Greenall’s Gin, Thomas Dakin Gin and Feeney’s Irish Cream Liqueur driven by strong growth from its branded products.
Quintessential Brands’ turnover has risen to £80.9m in the year ending 31 March 2016, up by 12 per cent on a year earlier. Revenues increased by 18 per cent to £26.9m in the UK, 56 per cent to £2.6m in the rest of Europe, 9 per cent to £5.9m in the US, and 8 per cent to £45.5m in the rest of the world.
Pre-tax profits dropped by 74 per cent to £167,000 over the same period.
Warren Scott, chief executive of Quintessential Brands, said: “We are delighted by the performance of Quintessential Brands UK over the past year, with exciting growth in the UK market as well as export. We generated significant growth across our branded portfolio with total brand revenue up 32 per cent on the previous year.
