Telecoms giant BT is set to create around 90 jobs at its Warrington contact centre as part of a national recruitment drive.
The firm, which plans to hire an extra 1,000 contact centre staff across the UK, has confirmed the new positions will be mainly sales roles.
BT’s North West regional director, Mike Blackburn, said: “BT has a long history of being one of the largest private sector employers and investors in Warrington and in the North West as a whole.
“It is great news that we are now able to carry out this latest recruitment to further strengthen our presence here.”
He continued: “Across the region, we are investing hundreds of millions of pounds in major initiatives, such as the roll-out of high-speed fibre broadband, which is transforming the online opportunities for local households and businesses.”
The company’s consumer division has already filled an extra 1,000 roles in its contact centres across the UK, but plans to recruit a further 1,000 by April next year.
