Blue Group, which supplies materials processing equipment to the quarrying and waste recycling industries, has bought a Scottish counterpart that achieved sales of more than £7m in 2017.
The group has acquired Murray Plant, which provides equipment such as rock breakers that attach onto excavators to the construction, mining, demolition and quarrying industries. Murray Plant, which is based near Glasgow, was set up by Bruce Murray in 1988 and is the UK distributor for a range of attachment brands including Rammer.
Blue Group achieved sales in excess of £100m for the first time in 2016. Headquartered in Warrington, it also has offices in Northwich, Portishead, Guildford, Stirling and Port Laoise.
