Warrington Borough Council, together with Warrington & Co. and Cheshire & Warrington LEP, are investing in a long-term transport infrastructure plan to help reduce traffic congestion in the town centre and encourage continued growth and investment across the town.
The Centre Park Link project is the first part of this plan. It will see the creation of a southbound link from Wilson Patten Street to Chester Road via a new road bridge over the River Mersey. One of the key benefits of this will be to reduce traffic demands around Bridgefoot Gyratory and start to unlock the potential of Warrington’s considerable waterfront area.
