Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) secured a £10.6million Building Better Oppportunities (BBO) grant to deliver the New Leaf project to support around 3,000 people in Warrington and Cheshire into work. New Leaf is designed to upskill local people, make them work ready, attractive to employers and better able to access the opportunities that the region offers as an economic and commercial hotspot.
From 2016 to 2019, the New Leaf project aims to support a minimum of 2,800 residents across Cheshire closer or into employment.
The New Leaf project is here to help people to take control and change their life by:
- Providing 1-2-1 support
- Helping with skills and training
- Finding opportunities to unlock potential
- Boosting confidence and future prospects
Warrington & Co. are the delivery partner for the Employer Engagement element of the New Leaf project, providing an effective job-matching service for participants into local, sustainable roles.
