Warrington Borough Councils’ Road Safety Plan aims to reduce road casualties involving people who drive for work. 45% of all fatal road traffic collisions on Warrington roads over the last three years (2013-16) have involved people who drive for work. This proves that driving for work is one of the most dangerous activities that we do.
As part of Warrington Borough Councils’ Road Safety Risk Management Plan, the Road Safety Team are offering free driver profiling assessments to all businesses and their drivers. The profiling tool is an online assessment which all your company drivers can go through. They will watch a series of hazard perception videos and answer questions, which will rate their risk as a driver. Depending on the outcome for each driver, they will be signposted onto further training. This can be further online training for low to medium risk outcome or in-car training for high risk outcome.
The driver profiling assessments will assist training and development for staff as part of their annual appraisals.
Alternatively, the Road Safety Team are able to visit your workplace to hold lunch time sessions with your staff. During the drop in sessions your staff will be able to take part in interactive road safety activities and pick up important advice. These sessions are free of charge for local businesses.
