£7m ERDF funding will aim to support SME’s develop low carbon projects

Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is encouraging bids for investment in projects from a £7m European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) allocation which aims to support the shift to a low carbon economy.
Developed by the LEP, the call aims to build the market in low carbon technologies, goods and services to deliver sustainable growth, mitigate the effects of climate and improve energy efficiency in the Cheshire and Warrington small business base.
It is looking for projects to come forward in a range of areas including the production and distribution of renewable energy, supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy use in enterprises, public infrastructure including public buildings and in the housing sector, the delivery of low carbon strategies for urban areas and research and innovation in low carbon technologies.
Bids must be for a minimum grant of £500,000 ERDF funding for a maximum of three years.
