From the training field to the training room; the team at Warrington Wolves Foundation were put through their paces this week by learning and development specialists Magnolia PD.
Based in Warrington, Magnolia PD, run by Katrina Stride and Neill Leisk, have been working with the Foundation for the past 4 years to provide performance coaching and mentoring, free of charge, to the charity.
Katrina said: “Back in 2013, we were introduced to the Foundation by Business in the Community, who work to change the way businesses and communities interact and benefit each other. I’m a Warrington Wolves rugby supporter myself, so being able to use the skills and experience we have working with large organisations across the UK to support our community, via the Foundation, is a privilege!”
Magnolia’s latest venture with the Foundation involved the management team, community rugby league coaches and sports engagement workers, taking part in a ‘Performance Coaching’ workshop: A one-day, highly participative workshop, that has received the kitemark of quality by the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Neil Kelly from Warrington Wolves Foundation, said: “The partnership we have with Magnolia PD has been fantastic. What started with coaching and mentoring has developed over the years with Katrina and Neill facilitating the development of our vision and values and now full management team training. They have been instrumental in helping individuals in our organisation not only develop but find their passion and drive for what they do.”
With more learning programmes for the Warrington Wolves Foundation in the pipeline, Magnolia PD are now a part of the team with a rugby inspired determination to help the charity achieve great results by developing their leaders to be the best coaches they can be.
