University and Colleges
Warrington itself is also a university town thanks to the large University of Chester campus which specialises in media and IT training as well as management training, with particular emphasis on a public sector MBA programme. The university has invested heavily in its Warrington site via the development of the North West Media Centre, Learning and Enterprise Centre and Broomhead Library. A further £7 million has been invested in improvements to the town’s Priestley College sixth form facility.
Another key asset for local companies is Warrington Business School, located within Warrington Collegiate. The school offers facilities that reflect the key sectors of the Warrington economy – for example its logistics centre – and a wide range of bespoke training programmes to meet local business needs.
