Plans to build a new motorway services on the M62, which would include a 100-bed hotel, have taken a step forward.
The proposals are earmarked for greenfield land to the north of the motorway alongside Junction 11.
The application was submitted to Warrington Borough Council last year, with the site sitting near a boundary with Salford City Council.
Extra MSA Group is seeking outline consent to establish the principle of the development, with a host of details reserved.
However, it is known that a 100-bed hotel would be incorporated, alongside a fuel filling station for cars and HGVs with a retail outlet, on-site parking and external amenity space for visitors to the building.
